A Mini-William Holden Movie Day

This Saturday evening, my #1 guy, the fabulously good-looking William Holden, will be the focus of TCM's programming, and I couldn't be more thrilled.  Here's my chance to see two more Holden films I've never seen before and to record (and thus add to my William Holden movie library) one that I've seen but don't own.

Never seen before, but definitely looking forward to:

Young and Willing
Wild Rovers

Have seen, but don't yet own, so I'll be recording:

Force of Arms

Finally, two other of his films are on the schedule, both of which I've seen, own, and love:

Sunset Boulevard---my 3rd or 4th favorite movie of all time

Picnic---ah, to have Kim Novak's dance scene in that film!!  While not on my top 20 list, this movie is somewhere in my top 30.

As a HUGE William Holden fan, it's my goal to see, and own when possible, as many of his films as I can.  Thanks, TCM, for allowing me to add three more of his films to my collection.

So, all you William Holden fans, check the TCM schedule and get your DVR set for this coming Saturday night.

Happy viewing!!!

  1. The old male actors were so handsome and clean cut. Even though today's actors are handsome, they are sometimes so scruffy that I find them unappealing.

Hope you have a great Labor Day weekend enjoying your family and old movies.

    Best,
    Bonnie
